My rant to the DNC
I posted this earlier and it got kicked down pretty quick because of how busy it gets here sometimes. The whole episode over Dick Durbin's comments and big name democrats sitting on their collective asses pissed me off and I wrote this. Also, I modified it and emailed it to several in my address book.

I keep hoping that the DNC and big name democrats will grow a spine and step up to the plate. I'm sick of seeing the democratic party being a doormat to these jerks.

Anyway...here it is.

2. ask them if this is what they see when they look in the mirror

I've been calling the Dems the Achordate Party ever since Grand Theft Election 2000, and they've been proving it ever since.

some hope rising lately, but the media will probably do their job, as they've been doing since Carter won in 76, and make any sort of progressive political solutions impossible

Read "Liberty Under Seige," by Walter Karp

it's all about how the pugs, media, lobbyists, AND the democratic party leadership sabotaged his presidency (abetted by Carter's total lack of political savvy, along with his failure to acknowledge--and deal with--the real centers of power)

second half is about Reagan, but I found the first more instructive, cause you never hear about just how badly he was sabotaged by the likes of that vile prick Tip ONeill, for just one name

3. My sentiments exactly!
I threw something (first time ever and I'm 60 years old) at my tv when I saw Durbin walking, tuck-tailed, up to the podium like some poor old dog getting in his position for his beatin'. Made me and my husband cry! I can't believe what's happening to our party. How did we get so wimpy?
