I agree with Kerry about Dean pretending to be sox fan
Kerry say's Dean is pretending to be a red sox fan to curry favor with New Englanders.

I agree because Dean's explanation, that he went from being a yankee fan when Clemen's beaned Piazza, -- wouldn't that be more likely to make him a met's fan?

-------------------

I mean for this post to be lighthearted. I'm not going to go real negative about Dean as I have been of late because all that ends up happening is people insulting you and accusing you of being pro-child murder and other things. I realize one post was taken the wrong way, although I stand by my feelings even if I don't have the strategy quite acceptably worked out.

And this is far from the silliest posts as some dean-fans might accuse it of being. It is a news story and Kerry's people did say that.

21. Dean Has NOT ALWAYS Been A RED SOX Fan
Trust me. A REAL Red Sox fan is BORN into it. We are different from other fans. We don't EVER switch allegiances! Dean is trying a 'smoke 'n mirrors' ploy, but we REAL Red Sox fans can see though it. Nice try though...trust me.

28. it reminds me of the type of joke
that isn't funny... just sort of borderline offensive. It gets told in a crowded room. Noone can quite believe they heard it - so they turn to stare. Then the jokester - certain that all would think it incredibly hilarious... repeats it... LOUDER. And every one stares again - now with mouth agap.

This thread is a repeat of a frivilous story that was just up... oh ... 10 minutes ago. Hence the silent staring with open mouth effect of the posts.

In un-related news Edwards farted, but subsequently blame was placed on Dean as he brought up the foul smell during the debate. Dean fell victim to the age old tacit of who smelt it dealt it. Really this sports crap bugs you? Unreal:(

15. explain to me why I
or anyone else for that matter cares. The election is about more than friggin baseball. It's about removing the worst president short of nixon that we've ever had.

This seems a bit trivial.

16. You don't care. I don't care
It's here, so someone cares. But it clearly is not you or me. Zero caring in this sphere. That's how far gone I am. I'd vote for a damn Yankees fan to get Bush out...even a flip-flopping Yankees fan. Dammit.

20. Let me get this straight
He was a Yankee fan, but Clemens beaning Piazza converted him to the damned Red Sox? Sorry, but if he was EVER a Yankess fan, he'd NEVER go to the Sox, because as every true Yanks fan knows the Sox suck. Period.

However, I will still vote for Dean because I like his stand on economics, war, health care and environment.

23. Go Cubbies!
Moseley Braun, btw, has always been a Cubs fan.

If you were putting together an allstar team, would you overlook Sammy Sosa?

Ha!

As for your Yankees vs. Red Sox/Mets theory, who knows? It would be tough to be a Yankee fan up there. The Mets? It would be easy to root for the Sox. If Dean says he likes the Red Sox, why not just take at him at his word? It's not such a big deal.

25. It's a HUGE deal
You don't switch from the Yanks to the Sox; it just doesn't happen. This is a blood feud we're talking about, not some paltry rivalry. It's as simple as "you're with us or the terrorists." ;-)

ya might fare a tad bet better in staring light threads - if you didn't keep refering back to that other thread in a rather self-righteous way that indicates that you still don't quite grasp why so many had problems with what you were suggesting.
