3. Rhonda Storms looks like a fierce drag queen!
Has a great drag name, too.

4. I clicked yes, but only because a no vote could be interpreted...
...as being opposed to gay pride at all. I actually don't see why government entities need to have any involvement in Pride celebrations, but if the local residents want their government to support it, great.

5. I know the reporter who did this story!
Edited on Wed Jun-22-05 09:59 AM by KzooDem
He and his wife lived across the street from my partner and I when he was working at the local CBS affiliate here in Kalamazoo. Great guy, very cool and open-minded, so it is not surprising he wasn't letting this broad off the hook in the interview.

BTW, misunderestimator, I voted in FAVOR of the county supporting gay pride, just in case you were wonderin' based on the highly volatile "Portland Gay Pride" thread. I just wish we would sometimes represent the concept of "pride" a little differently than we do.

Anyway, 'nuff said on THAT topic, and olive branch extended. :-)

7. Cool...
And you get no argument from me that I would prefer pride festivals to be more representative of who most of us are... but that's not the issue. And yes, nuff said... baby_mouse answered you on that thread quite well, I think. :hi:

8. The way she spins it makes me sick.
She makes it seem as if she's suggesting that the Hillsborough County government is being asked to proactively promote gay pride. That's not it at all. What she's doing is PROHIBITING display of any form of gay pride, unity, non-discrimination, etc on any govt. property or by govt. employees.

I live in Tampa, and can tell you with no uncertainty that:
1. Storms is a bitch;
2. Storms will stir up trouble anywhere she can.

11. I used to live in Pasco.
I just moved my mom to Holiday (over by Tarpon) from Massachusetts. Lower taxes, insurance, etc. Pasco is a good choice.
