In a world driven by greed you compete to get as much as you can from anyone you can get it from and you hoard it. To keep a hoard to yourself in a world so competitive and hungry you got to Guard it from others somehow.Hence wars,bribes,police,terror,state domination,coercion,slavery kings..don't trust anyone..isolate in your money and try to rule them all before you die and your kingdom crashes by the weight of mass injustices done to maintain the inequal power of domination of the many by a few.The search for security and dominance NEVER ends in a world driven by greed and domination. You can if you get a big enough hoard of wealth and syncophants who believe, abuse the hands that help you if you convince them they must need your rules and you have to feed them peanuts from your stolen stash,this way you cultivate their obedienceloyalty to you and a culture of powerlessness..In these situations individuals on top can do what they want to those below.And those below do as they are told , to get some from those on top because those on top convinced them to depend on them(jobs ect.).If you don't obey and be as the master/owner wants you to you die or must pay.This kills humanity from the inside out and makes humanity crazy.Empires are insanity making dysfunctional families operating on a NATIONAL level.


In a world driven by sharing and empathy,you have to learn to negotiate with others and accept sometimes you can't always get what you want..

Be willing to give and offer to others first.Decide to trust others to give back,too,on their terms.You have to give up the pretense of control over others.To most people people raised in cultural coercion this is impossible to imagine. Yet it is our natural way(hence the insane success of file sharing,book exchanges and open source computer code..or potluck dinners for a few examples)

In greed based world you go out to TAKE from others to hoard and guard your assets,you give without getting fair exchange (if you are below) on Top you take without giving back,

IN sharing based cultures you don't abuse,steal,colonize,dominate, hoard, coerce or kill to get your own way.That kind of toxic blinkered self interest is called WRONG bad behavior sociopath.Destructive selfish ..For good reason.


IN sharing based cultures sociopaths are not comfortable they have to CONTROL themselves lest they be found out and expelled from the community for taking without giving..Corporations in this culture ARE sociopaths they take far more than they give back they take so much they destroy the sources of wealth that keep us all alive(the Earth)

In sharing based cultures you have to develop diplomacy,you ask,you offer,you give what you got and you accept what they got. Empathy is valued over belligerence ,innovation ,creativity and spontaneity over rules and obedience and conforming.

Power and prestige in share based culture goes to who gives the most away to others..Who is most involved with helping others live better..Barter is an exchange made between equals.You must negotiate with others honestly in a share based culture and be prepared to give something back if you partake in getting.By necessity you have to live and let live when people are different than you,and care about how the others lives are because you DEPEND on them as much as they DEPEND on you..A sharing based life is EQUALITY,All have SOME..And having some for all means this is freedom based,innovative non property ownered,a long sighted viewpoint, because you seek to keep the stuff that makes us all prosper prospering and healthy going on(the Earth),you never have the kind of obscene insulating from reality kinds of wealth to be able to forget the source of where good things come and you certainly don't abuse the hands that help you prosper.. The individual identity does not necessarily have to be suppressed but he is responsible for his own actions in a community..

And this is why Neocons and rich people (and wannabe rich people) FEAR all sharing based communities.There is no justification in reality for have alls to exist when alot have NONE.BELIEF in INEQUALITY and the "right to OWN" is what lets a CEO exploit so many people,ruin their lives,crush their dreams,poison our Earth and get away with it.The sociopaths among us do not want to EVER be responsible or accountable for for the hurts they cause and what they steal from entire nations so they can be so comfortable,secure and so autocratic.Their hoard comes at the expense of billions..And they do NOT want to give back to the billions the ungodly sum they OWE us all for failing to share with others what the Earth has given to ALL ..

The scam will fall apart when the lies cannot cover up the fact we have been duped out of our Natural heritage by a few greedy sociopath,authoritarian,sick, selfish con men.Insane people whom we call the"elites" whom as a culture we gave way too much trust,power and prestige to they never deserved.

What has been done to humanity to maintain a lie of this magnitude is a history of trocity war death abuse rape opression... So even centuries of traumas,deception,"faith" misdirection,war and fear it cannot hide this truth from the people's consciousness forever.
Why are destroyers of property(ecoterrorists) more dangerous than white christiasn idenity bombers? Because the Christian identity bomber works for THE SYSTEM of domination it creates strife dominators can exploit to maintan rule and keep people subjugated.

The eco-person fights for a new system one based in empathy, SHARING and autonomy for all people..Sociopaths can't STAND to live like that.Authoritariansd are SICK, they have no capacity to live and let live ,Sociopaths don't care about others.These types of controlling personalities are incompatible with freedom.They are the truly insane and they RUN our Nations.

Revolts happen when the rich kings take too much than the people can bear.The kings can NEVER be satisfied...This time when the kings drain us and we say no more,lets not set up another kingdom.Lets liberate ourselves from those people who would be kings and never trust them again.

1. I agree with much of what you say

There is also the element of fear vs. love though. If you are driven by fear, if you are sure that criminals, terrorists etc are out to hurt you, that immigrants and the poor are out to steal what you have, then you are going to be very conservative, reactionary, and defensive in your life and your politics. If, on the other hand, you assume that your fellow humans are very much like you and, with rare exceptions, are good people, trying hard to make a decent life for themselves and their family's then you adopt more of a 'we're all in this together' attitude, you are willing to give of your time, money and attention not just to help you and yours, but to help your neighbors and even complete strangers in distant countries.

2. A big motivator of fear

Is feeling like your stash will be stolen by those other less worthy than you kinds of people who don't have.And what motivates that is greed.

I sympathize with your sentiments but disagree somewhat on the analysis.

We are hierarchal anthropoid apes. It is how we evolved and survived. Some of those traits which got us this far are unsuitable for creatures of the intelligence we have come to attain. Hierarchy and tribalism for example. From these come war, inequality, organized religion and a raft of other woes. Our conception and development of ethics is part of our evolution beyond this state.

We are capable of being other than greedy monkeys. Cannibalism for example was present in perhaps most cultures in the past. Today it is universally abhorrent. Infant exposure, once quite common is an embarrassment to the few cultures that it is clandestinely practiced in. Equality of the sexes, once almost unheard of continues to gain ground(though never fast enough). Progress, in this respect, is natural.

I have great doubt as to whether we will make it through the crucible of our times. Our monkey ethics combined with human mental power conspire to destroy us as a civilization(at least) and leave the planet in wretched condition for whatever survives us. Some of us have at least an idea what needs to be done but as to whether the will to change can reach critical mass I have serious doubts.
