Poll question: If you HAD to choose between: A fair media - that means ALL media - |
|
including Fox.NBC, CBS, all magazines - every single news outlet in America. I mean REALLY fair and balanced - not just the words but the real thing.
Or voting results that are absolutely, positively, beyond any shadow of a doubt 100% correct
which one would choose?

Fair media would mean election fraud is exposed and would be fixed.

2. And what does it matter if votes are counted fairly |
|
If the voters are making decisions based on lies?

5. Further, independent of voting/politics, I think it's just |
|
extremely important for the American people to understand what is going on with their country.

No fair media possible until votes get just reform. Chicken or egg argument, except by the magic wish solution a fair(courageous and principled) media would be best.

4. ditto (1 & 2). he who controls the media controls |
|
the discourse. we wouldn't be in this mess we're in now, if the media wasn't so lopsided. that's what the repugs counted on.

9. IMO they are inseperable |
|
You can't have a democracy without an informed population - this means first they have to be educated so they are capable of understanding what they are being told and so that they can think critically and analytically about the information presented to them, then they have to be informed and given good information on which they can base decisions - then they can vote. Anything less isn't really democracy - which is also why I can't consider Iraq, the Palistenian Territories or Lebannon (or the US for that matter) to be democracies.
