DSM nothing new - outside the US |
|
While the DSM are certainly news - nothing that they talk about is news outside the US. So, we never had it in black and white but everyone knew before the war that there was no evidence of WMD, that there were no credible links to terrorism, that the British intelligence on Iraq, much of which was presented to the UN by Colon Powell was plagiarized from a paper written by a grad student...much of this was out there in the US as well if people looked for it.
The conclusion that I, and many others, were forced to draw from this is that a majority of American voters (and all of those who didn't vote), or almost a majority if the election was stolen (and all of those who didn't vote), didn't care - didn't care about an illegal war, didn't care about becoming the world's new bad guy, didn't care about being lied to, didn't care about a soaring deficit (currently almost $27,000 per American man woman and child), didn't care about prisoner abuse, human rights violations, war profiteering by Bush's friends...just somehow, inexplicably, didn't care.

1. The implication of the DSM is nothing new for anyone who was paying |
|
attention. It is the closest we have come to incontrovertible evidence to break thought Bushco's "plausible deniability."
