laughing about casualties plus very earnestly and dramatically informing us he "thinks about Iraq EVERY DAY!" What does he think the rest of us Americans do? Try having a kid over there, Bush. Try having a husband/wife over there. A father. A mother. You pathetic man.

this little tirade of his shows how out of touch he is. He's been so protected, shielded, and coddled, that he doesn't even understand how profoundly absurd those comments were to America. We were supposed to be impressed with the President thinking about the war - he started (as Jon noted) -- every single day. He doesn't get how bizarre that statement is? I just don't see how our great country has a leader this dim-witted. It's beyond belief.

As democracy is perfected, the office of the president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. - HL Mencken 1880-1956Keith’s Barbeque Central

How prophetic. And I thought Ike's farewell address warning of the need for war in order to sustain the growing military industrial complex was eerily prophetic.
