Hawkins family......PLEASE GO HOME! |
|
I'm very happy they got their little boy back....But ....PLEASE.....Will they just go away!....Their son has been through a terrible ordeal.....This can not be good for him....He does not look happy in the spotlight.....If he were my child, think I would just have him at home....away from all this!......

4. That kid looked like he wanted to go Columbine... |
|
...at that press conference they just had.
The family is lovin' life, being the center of the national media's attention.
The kid, not so much, looks like.

When you have a kid on the ground in the fetal position it is time to end the press conference! Gross!

7. Yeah, but if they go away, there's other distractions ... |
|
Like our "runaway bride" and "missing blond adults" to keep us stupid but satisfied.
What passes for USA Broadcast and Cable News is utterly void of world views and important current events.

10. I posted this on another thread |
|
"The Hawkinses said Brennan didn't remember much and they don't plan push him to talk about his four days in the woods. "It's going to take a while to get everything out," Toby Hawkins said. "This is how he approaches all situations."
They described the boy as social immature, but not mentally disabled."
-snip-
"Part of the delay in finding Brennan was caused because he defied conventional wisdom: He went up hill instead of down.
Sheriff Dave Edmunds had said Brennan would have been more likely to head down a river valley from a 530-acre Boy Scout camp in the Uinta mountains. "Typically children walk downhill, along the least path of resistance," he said. "
from WiredNews.
He asked about his cards coming from Ebay, but doesn't remember going camping?
Did the parents tell the searchers about his social immaturity to help find him?
Hiding from searchers......
Think he was running away?

12. I imagine a RW media strike team descending down upon stories like this... |
|
They include, spin doctors, talking head analyst's, hack writers, various politicos, one or two junior senators, media release to all the morons (o'lielly, limpballs, etc) and who every else they can get to milk a story out of this bullshit to cover over any real crimes created by jackass* and his room full of dopes.

15. I like the good news of his being found but |
|
it seems quite obvious to me that the child is more than just shy....He seems uncomfortable and unhappy being pushed in front of the cameras....He's probably still in a sort of a state of shock from his ordeal....That's all I'm saying....

16. He appears to be hugely embarrassed |
|
that he got lost and caused such a fuss. He knows the family will never let him live it down. What they view to be an amusing anecdotal story will be a perpetual reminder of his "screw-up".

17. Just curious - do any people of color ever go missing? |
|
How about fat people? Ugly people? Non-blond people? Old people? I've got a scheme cooking to pay for health insurance. I'm going to disappear and hubby is calling the media. We're going to have to lie a little since I don't fit the mold . . . bear with me. My reason for fleeing is that I've cooked one meatloaf too many and I can't take it any more. I might have suicidal tendencies, preferably death by chocolate. When they find me I'm going to look a little ashamed, a bit embarrassed . . . and I'm working on bug-eyed. I'll sell my story cheap. Any producers on the board interested in parting with a quarter mil?? Get in on the ground floor before the price goes up!

18. he kept running from rescue people |
|
Dan Abrahms just said that when the kid would see rescuers he would run away from them because he didn't want them "to steal him"? that search probably cost thousands because the media put so much pressure on the story. I hope this kind of man power is put into all people that go missing. jeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz
