13. Exactly. Not only does he refuse to accept blame or accountability |
|
but he then turns around and rewards those who he says are to blame

3. I think this says it all ... |

"He was thinking about invading Iraq in 1999, said author and journalist Mickey Herskowitz. "It was on his mind. He said to me: 'One of the keys to being seen as a great leader is to be seen as a commander-in-chief.' And he said, 'My father had all this political capital built up when he drove the Iraqis out of Kuwait and he wasted it.' He said, 'If I have a chance to invade... if I had that much capital, I'm not going to waste it. I'm going to get everything passed that I want to get passed and I'm going to have a successful presidency." --snip--
"He told me that as a leader, you can never admit to a mistake," Herskowitz said. "That was one of the keys to being a leader."

for something you intended to do. He intentionally LIED to the public, knowing the evidence would not hold up. Like everything else this administration has done, it's plans have been short sighted. They believed they never would have to explain or linger over these issues in Iraq. The planning for post Iraq was flowers and parties 24/7 remember? Slap together a voting booth and a piece of paper with laws on it.. Taadaaa Middle East suddenly abandons 1,000 of years of tradition.
To apologize for something you intended is like having a tooth pulled you can't exactly put it back. The damage is done. Nothing will make 1700 deaths and 13,000 injuries, 22,000 children, 50,000ish Iraqi deaths any easier to swallow.
So I don't accept an apology, however I will take his resignation on the desk of the American people effective (should of been 5 years ago) today.

It's called "repentance" in Xian-speak. Lots of people intend to do things, feel bad about it afterwards, and apologize.
And, whether done intentionally or accidentally, undoing the damage is frequently impossible.

Did you forget who your talking about here.
Bush repent? repentance means a change of mind, a change of attitude. He may say it to whatever Deity he claims to speak to but he won't do it for the American public while in office.
He'd be admitting Impeachment if he apologized. He'd be admitting he knew he was actively lied to the public and congress. He has no guilt therefore any apology he'd offer would be insincere, and only lip service.
He's apologized for nothing, convinced himself and at least 35 percent of the American public that the "world is a safer place." ALL he's done is try to justify this war. That is all he and his staff will continue to do from this day forward, Justify not apologize.

But I wasn't arguing about him, per se.
I was arguing about an indefinite "you". One may easily apologize for something intended, and the lack of ability to remedy the situation is a different matter.

11. I want him to apologize for calling American Patriots traitors |
|
and terrorist, just because they oppose his policies. That is evil and un-American.
