SCOTUS---Property owners have NO rights. What country is this???
The good ole US of A.

~snip~ Washington (AP) -- The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that local govts. may seize people's HOMES AND BUSINESSES - EVEN AGAINST THEIR WILL- for private economic development. ~snip~

So my question is: Why buy a home or start a business?

4. They aren't OUR judges.
This is not working man's liberalism because those men need those homes and businesses to support their families.

any more.

They are the enemy as far as I'm concerned.

I would support impeachment proceedings against all five right now.

3. Unfortunately...
you have never owned your property. The state owns it. As proof, try not paying your property taxes. You have always been a "renter."

That being said, this decision is beyond the pale. It is really a stretch to include private development under 5th Amendment eminent domain language.

5. I didn't realize it was the supposed "liberals" on the bench who
wrote the majority!!! What on earth were they thinking? Where is a link to their logic in this case?

Sandra Day O'Connor. Who knew that I would wholeheartedly agree with her...and Scalia? Rehnquist? For cripessake, Thomas? Oh man...

12. lmao
Open ass, insert head. Socialists. Everybody's a socialist with these people.

This is not even a socialist tendency, this is the tyranny of private businesses over the common man. Will you call it socialism when corporations run your life? Maybe you will. I'll hate it with you, but I won't have voted for it.

I know for a fact some of my city's officials are salivating over this right now. There's plenty of projects they've wanted to get the go ahead on.

21. Today's decision means POOR property owner's don't have rights...
More than likely "underdeveloped" property is what will be seized and turned over to rich developers for a fraction of fair market value... all under the guise of economic development.

This is another example of how government is the Reverse Robin Hood.... He steals from the poor and gives to the rich.
