Southern Baptists End Disney Boycott... LMAO!!!
:eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

NASHVILLE - Southern Baptists are ready to put their Mickey Mouse ears back on.

The annual meeting of the 16.3 million-member Southern Baptist Convention voted Wednesday to end its eight-year boycott of the Disney Co., with Baptist leaders saying the company has taken a turn toward producing more family-friendly entertainment and fewer morally objectionable films.

A resolution approved by the 12,000 delegates from churches around the country said the boycott, in effect since 1997, had "communicated effectively our displeasure concerning products and policies that violate moral righteousness and traditional family values."

3. Least effective boycott of all-time
Congrats SBC.

You sure showed Disney...

Showed them that you don't have enough clout to do them any real harm.

6. Wasn't part of their reasoning for the boycott the fact that Ellen
came out on her show? I wonder if they consider Finding Nemo part of the family-friendly entertainment :) . . . I mean . . . they still pay Ellen, so why stop the ineffectual boycott.

I'd say their boycott was about as effective as O'Splotchy's boycott of Pepsi.

10. Don't you just wish...
...everyone could live in a world like Disneyland? You'd have Liberal Island (count me in!), Southern Baptist Land, W Land (would be like Bizarro World, where everything is backward?), etc.....

Seriously, I love the fact that the SBs felt compelled to end their non-boycott. :) They just wanted to remind everyone that there really WAS a boycott... really!!!

13. Stay away, the lines will be shorter
The boycott was a joke to begin with. However, I hope that this does not increse the crowds at WDW.
