Will anyone ever trust TV media again? |
|
I mean for getting news? If some miracle occurs and the right wing loses its stranglehold on the media, will you watch it? Or will you do what I do, and stick to getting my news from the Internet?

2. I'll always check on the internet first! |
|
I'll probably never completely give up on TV news because I like to know what the general public is being told. But I'll always look first to the internet for an accurate portrayal of what's going on.

6. I Never Trusted...I Just Gather |
|
There's no one source I fully trust. Everyone has an agenda and when I go on that website or turn on that network, I recognize that agenda and ajust my information gathering accordingly.
The Internet is just one more source I use...I still read newspapers daily, magazines weekly...and now can augment that information with sites...right and left...that fill in whatever gaps I might have. I know others do this the same way.
Maybe the bigger question is how can we deal with a more diverse media world where information really can't be fully controlled...and how to determine what is real and what is spin.

7. I haven't watched deliberately since 11/02/04 |
|
And what I've caught accidentally has only confirmed me in my resolve never to watch again. Everything they say is either worthless bullshit or lies.

9. i used to be a tv news addict (in a good way) |
|
but now i've changed all my viewing habits effortlessly. i don't watch any of the sunday morning talkshows, rarely tune into CNN, or the other newscasts.
I get my internet news from this site, the globe and mail, the guardian, huffington's blog, and a few other blogs. I trust these sources.
the mainstream media helped me get over them. It's hard to see how they could get my interest back.
