O'Reilly basically says Rumsfeld didn't lose the war - Randi Rhodes did!
Edited on Thu Jun-23-05 08:10 PM by scottxyz
O'Reilly on FOX: "Everybody got it? Dissent, fine; undermining, you're a traitor. Got it? So, all those clowns over at the liberal radio network, we could incarcerate them immediately. Will you have that done, please? Send over the FBI and just put them in chains, because they, you know, they're undermining everything and they don't care, couldn't care less."

http://momentoftriumph.blogspot.com/2005/06/rightwing-meltdown-continues.html

Bush is losing the war in Iraq, the Downing Street Memo shows he can be impeached for misleading us into it, and 4 years after 9/11 he hasn't found Bin Laden, so what do the Repubs do?

- O'Reilly says he wants to sic the FBI on Air America.

- Repubs force Durbin to apologize - for opposing torture.

- Repubs call Hillary a lesbian and Bill a rapist.

- And now Rove says liberals "don't get" 9/11 and want to give Bin Laden "therapy" and want our troops to die.

Nice try, Repubs. Americans know enough about psychology to see that you're lashing out at everyone because of you're own failures. It ain't pretty.

Here's an idea for you whiney Repubs: If you want to shut the anti-war people up - go get Bin Laden!

13. We need to get ready for this.
They lied their way into the war. They were totally incompetent in administering it ,but it is all our fault. We need to get ready for this. When our troops are finally bum rushed out of there, they are going to try to blame it all on us. This is what happened after Vietnam.

14. Absolutely.
The man's caught us.

Us dirty lib'ruls, who are, at the moment, not even a national party, who were outnumbered 2-1 in the days leading up to the Iraq invasion, who are called bleeding-hearts and do-nothings, are suddenly responsible for making decisions that bring death, defeat, and destruction down upon our armed forces in Iraq.

Your wisdom astounds, Mr. O'Reilly.

17. Any publicity is good publicity.
How many O'Reilly viewers might tune into Air America to find out what he's talking about?

Suppose that 1 of those people stays tuned long enough to hear 1 morsel of truth.

Suppose that 1 morsel of truth might cause that 1 listener to pause and reflect for 1 minute.

Might be a good thing.

19. Now that * admits he's fighting a loosing war
he can blame it on the Democrats for being unpatriotic. He can lie all he wants he cant make it stick. The people will call him on his lies. The people must inform their congresspersons and senators, that We know * is lying every time he opens his mouth. And that, so are all his little minions. It's like having the John Birch Society in charge of the country. Radical Right-wing radio is permeating the nations airwaves. They are spouting it from the pulpit. Any place they can propagandize.

20. Right! Randy bullied and bullied the generals with the Iraq war plan
to reduce the numbers of boots on the ground needed from 400,000 to 250,000 because of "new" and "improved" neocon assumptions about war. She also ignored the possibility of insurgency. She undid the Baathist army and now, three years later is trying to rebuild and attract for Baathists officers to the army. Plus she went in without the UN and UN procurement laws which would have seen money flying so fast and furious in Iraq.. towards all Iraqis... that the Sunnis and the Baathist would have had their heads spinning.

To save herself - Randy blamed the Turks for not letting that northern battle take place that would have killed many Sunnis. That comment likely went over really, really good with Sunnis.

Right!
