KKKarl said; "Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers." Conservatives, he said, "saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war."
Yes liberals thought is might be wise to try to understand what was going on under oppressive regimes like Saudi Arabia and in Afghanistan and the madrases of Pakistan and try to figure what is breeding people to act like this. We also thought that going after the perps who were behind it, like OBL, was a good idea. Conservatives wanted a war, didn't matter with who or where, or if it had anything to to with 9/11. They just wanted a war.
Rove was right on target.

1. The neocons looked at the whole Islamist terrorist movement and |

decided to change policy from supporting strongmen and elites to democracy. Liberals have had this policy for generations. It was Jean Kirkpatrick and the neocons who decided the ME was not ready for democracy in the 1980s(even though Africa was in 1960!).
Looks like the liberals didn't have to look to the heart of the matter - they already knew the truth. It was the neocons who were desperately trying to teach Repukes about "Democracy". New policies take a while and "much propaganda" it seems to be accepted.
Karl's speech is all so much ****drinking.

2. They wanted THIS war not just any war |

If they just wanted any old war, they would have been happy to stay in Afganistan. They wanted THIS war in Iraq for their own demented gains. Never forget the "need a new Pearl Harbor" directive.

were talking about invading Iraq at the very first cabinet meeting back in January 2001. Months and months before 9/11. Why isn't any one recalling that both Paul O'Neill and Richard Clarke reported in their books that this is what the neocons wanted from the very beginning. Ordered to find the goods on Iraq. The DSM just proves that they were telling the truth about the war plans long before a single plane hit a single building.
Rove is a shameless, spineless thug. He is the only person alive that can make Lee Atwater look like Little Susie Sunshine.

If the media weren't so obsequious they'd be praying for therapy and understanding as a response
