Grilled Rumsfeld Anyone?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/thenation/20050624/cm_thenation/13811/nc:742

Rarely in recent years has Washington seen so dramatic a clash between the legislative and executive branches as was witnessed Thursday, when U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy, D-Masschusetts, went after Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld on the question of whether the Pentagon chief should resign for mismanaging the war in Iraq.

"This war has been consistently and grossly mismanaged. And we are now in a seemingly intractable quagmire. Our troops are dying. And there really is no end in sight," Kennedy said, as the Secretary of Defense sat opposite him during an appearance before the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Arguing that "the American people, I believe, deserve leadership worthy of the sacrifices that our fighting forces have made, and they deserve the real facts," Kennedy told Rumsfeld, "I regret to say that I don't believe that you have provided either."

Rumsfeld was clearly shocked by the aggressiveness of the senator's comments.

"Well, that is quite a statement," huffed the Secretary of Defense, who pointedly told Kennedy, "The suggestion by you that people -- me or others -- are painting a rosy picture is false."

4. Replaying now on C-SPAN 1

LIEberman on right now quoting scripture. Dude behind him is just sitting there with a "WTF?" look on his face.

We haven't missed Byrd's classic grilling yet and that will be worth the price of admission.

Even a Republican Senator (Collins) is questioning about the repeated and lengthy deployment of Guard and Reserves.

5. What a jackass.
That's right, Rummy has been telling it like it is from the beginning. All hellfire and brimstone, old Don Don doesn't hold back - I remember when he said, "The Iraqi regime change will be very costly despite the oil reserves they can relyt upon. We will also lose thousands of American men and women to prosecute this war..."

Yeah - I remember him saying that. I know 'cause I just took my Mkultra pill.

7. In a real Democracy ...
Rumsfailed would have been Impeached, found guilty and sent to prison for about 30 years at least.

Rumsfailed Admitted to Violating Geneva Convention

Rumsfailed admitted in public on TV that when CIA Director Tenet requested that an Iraqi prisoner be sent to a secret Afghan/US Prison that Rumsfailed did so. After four months a DOD Attorney stated that this was an illegal act. Rumsfailed then ordered that this prisoner be sent back to Abu Graihib but the prisoner was purposefully not listed at that location, also an illegal act. Rumsfeld also admitted to signing orders for tougher interogation methods which violated the Geneva Conventions.

Rumfailed has commited at least three violations of the Geneva Convention thereby also violations of The Constitution of the USA. Recently it has been found out that even more detainees were "ghost detainees". The fact that Rumsfailed and Tenet have not been charged speaks volumes. If Congress wishes to garner any respect they should move forward with Rep. Rangle's Impeachment Declaration of Rumsfailed and also proscecute Ex. CIA Tenet.
