" You are fighting for your life and they are fighting for your death"
That great line I stole from William Shirer's great classic, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. In that he describes an anecdote when, Molotov, the dour and stern Russian Foreign Minister visited Hitler in Berlin. As Hitler and Molotov went into his office, Hitler started bragging about how he was going to stop the allies from attacking Berlin. Just then Allied Bombers came down swooping and dropped a few bombs close to where Hitler and Molotov were in conference. The guards hurriedly took the big guys into a bunker. As they were going into their safe haven, Hitler said to Molotov " We are now in a life and death struggle". Molotov, as usual, not given to any vain boasting, responded with, "Yes.It is a life and death struggle all right. You are fighting for your life and they are fighting for your death".

That is exactly the reason why Bush and his Iraqi stooges won't succeed.

4. Yeah, but
no one has managed to bring the attack to BushCo yet. (Except us and the bloggers, and our only weapons are electrons on the Internets.)

At some point, probably three days after Tony Blair leaves office, the EU will work out some deal with China and Russia and coordinate kicking out all the props from under the dollar. Then we'll see how useless BushCo really is. Unfortunately, we will all starve.

6. You know what.It does not matter what we or the British or Rush
Limbaugh or Karl Rove think anymore. The events are being determined by the Iraqi fighters who probably do not even know who these AH's are.

5. When we look at the Iraq war from this perspective and the reason
Edited on Fri Jun-24-05 08:40 AM by KlatooBNikto
why our stooges always fail ( like Thieu, Ky, Diem etc) while the opposing forces with even more limited resources fight well and inflict damaging blows, it can only be attributed to their determination to rid their country of the foreign invaders. By that yardstick, a Saddam who may, in our degraded vocabulary be a tyrant, is still an Iraqi vastly more preferable to the alien invader from far away allied with a known colonialist who had ensalved Iraq in the past.

We have been condemned to repeat history because of our ignorance.
