Interesting information from the Newsweek poll about Clark
http://www.pollingreport.com/wh04gen.htm

Check out the Newsweek Poll, and then look at how Clark/Bush compare in the "south"

Clark wins 47-45

I think that is better news than anything I've heard all week.

WE CAN WIN

1. Dems have a better chance in the South than in many parts of the West
Contrary to what a lot of people might think...

7. Well, for starters...
places like Montana and Idaho are considered uber-Republican in Presidential elections. So are oklahoma, Texas, and sometimes Arizona. When Carter ran in 1976, he carried the whole South and Northeast, While Ford got all of the west. It's only been recently that the West coast has started trending Democratic.

3. It was, indeed, the south that first jumped into my mind when
I heard of Clark mulling a run. Put 4 stars in front of those boys down there and out come the flags and patriotism. It also reminded me of all the military bases down there...........I wonder how GI's can spit on Clark and call him names and say he isn't as great as their Commander in Chief. They would choke on the words. Don't underestimate ever the appeal of this general in this new post-9/11 world......and among the boys from the old world as a matter of fact.

4. Yesterday's CrossFire
featured to pro-Clark , anti-bush emails....one from Texas and one from Alabama. I repeat: Alabama.

Today's anti-bush came from Georgia with the pro-bush from Canada...WTF?

5. Its not everything though Starpass
How well he does at the debates and how fast he can get a money machine going will both be very important. Both will be very hard to do with Ø political experience. He needs to stay out of small planes now too.

11. He definately needs to stay out of small planes...
the White House has got to be panicked over the Clark candidacy. They're in deep doo doo and they know it. The jig is just about up. They will do down fighting. The repukes on the Hill will circle the wagons to see to it that lil' geogie stays in power. Because if bush goes down, many of them may go down with him.

6. Yes, that is even more significant. IMO Clark is just, well, unstoppable.
I feel privileged to live in a time and place where the forces of darkness can be overcome before it is too late. Over the last two horrible years I have felt many time that I know what it must have been like for people in pre-war Nazi Germany. But now a shining light, aka General Wesley Clark, might actually prevent a similar disaster from befalling the world.

8. Patience, grasshopper. Long time until this horse race is over with
Lot of things can happen between now and then. Stay focused on whoever you like, but I think three or four Dems would have no problem beating the forces of darkness if an election were held today. Lets do our best to keep it that way until next year.

12. As a matter of fact...
He is so dreamy. :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

Doesn't hurt. Could get a lot of repukes to vote for him and help to oust bushie. Face it. Clark is a man's man, while at the same time being a woman's man too. Jealous?
