Shoreline man to run for King County executive
A real estate agent from Shoreline will run for King County executive under the Green Party label this fall, he announced yesterday.

Gentry Lange, 30, identified election reform, traffic improvements and economic growth as the focal points of his campaign, which he will foster in his Web log at www.gentrylange.com.

Incumbent Ron Sims, a Democrat, is seeking a third four-year term. Republican King County Councilman David Irons of Sammamish also is challenging Sims' re-election.

This is Lange's first try for elective office. In 2004, he managed the short-lived campaign of fellow voting-reform activist Andy Stephenson for the Democratic nomination for secretary of state.

If I lived in King County, I'd support him.

Edit - Hi Andy!

3. I've voted for the Green Party candidate before.
I think it was a state school board race. She was the best candidate.

If you're the best candidate and can convince people not to just be lazy and vote straight ticket, you have a chance.
