What happens when the U.N. Invades the U.S.?

2. No worries on that front

The US could, very possibly, face

1) stiff economic sanctions
2) international travel bans
3) a lack of international cooperation
4) demands for war reperations - from Iraq and other countries
5) demands to hand over war criminals to a special tribuneral

but, most in the world community know that you don't respond to war with more war. The world, outside of the US, is f'in tired of war and has real issues such as poverty, aids, water shortages, and global warming to deal with.

We just sieze all American asset make it our own

3. I don't see the UN/World attacking us with military.

However, economic and political sanctions would be viable alternatives. And, despite the bluster of many isolationists in the US, such sanctions would be highly effective.

Without access to world markets, the USA would no longer be a world power.

Where were the components of your car manufactured? Your TV? Your watch? Your cellphone? Your shoes?

The world hating us can be a huge problem.

Use childish chants all you wish. It doesn't make facts evaporate. We are becoming an international pariah due to the actions of this administration, and if it is allowed to continue, there WILL be repercussions.

10. Militia groups and fundamentalist Christians claim that also.

The republicans want to cast suspicion on the UN. They needed to do it for the Iraq war, and they will need to do it again for the Iran war.

The UN would never attack the US. First of all, they do not even have an army. Soldiers come from the nations that care to participate.

It is true that much of the world does hate the Bush Administration, but I am not sure you can put an equal sign between them and the american people.

I tend to believe that this persistant rumor is nothing more than pure Republican bullshit. Worse yet, it has a god-damn halo over it. Republican Christian bullshit.

13. No...They do not hate the American people but...

the American "brand" is poisoned. Anything the US wants to do, for a long, long time will be looked at with doubt and suspicion. American products and companies will be casually avoided when and where possible. There will be repeated calls for war crimes trials and compensation to the victims of US crimes. There is no invasion being planned by anyone, but it would probably be better in the long run for the U.S. if that was the case as it would clear the air, so to speak.
