What to say when President Cuckoo-bananas says, "it's your money . . ."
This is W's signature line at all these faked town hall meetings--"it's your money, so you should be able to control how it's used for your retirement (i.e., privatize SS)."

If it's really "my money," why do I have to pay for an immoral and illegal war in Iraq? Why do I have to fund the bullets and bombs that kill innocent Iraqi children when I hate this war with every fiber of my being and have opposed it from day one?

If it's really "my money," why do I have to pay the salary of the most corrupt and incompetent administration that ever disgraced the office of the presidency? Why do I have to help pay for George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfilled, Condi Rice, Karl Rove, and John Bolton, people who have destroyed or economy, our military, and our standing in the world?

Why do I have to support with "my money" policies like abstince only sex ed, no child left behind, faith-based initiatives, healthy forests, and clear skies pollution "control" which are either wrong-headed or unconstitutional or both?

If it's "my money," why do I have to spend it to fund secret meetings like the one Dick Cheney had with Big Oil insiders when he designed an industry friendly energy policy? Why can't I find out who illegally revealed the name of CIA operative Valerie Plame--after all, I help pay their salary?

Bush is right--it IS my money. And it's time we ask ourselves and our friends and neighbors if we're getting our money's worth . . .

1. When he says it's your money shout "Then keep your hands off it!"
and smile as the nice men with ear pieces drag you away.

2. It's your money, and he's giving it to Halliburton
because he's a corrupt incompetent drunk.

3. That's right, Chimp! It's our money!
The $5.6 trillion ten-year surplus you "inherited" was ours...

Bush Turned $5.6 Trillion Surplus Into $5.2 Trillion Deficit: Bush inherited a projected $5.6 trillion ten-year surplus. That $5.6 trillion surplus is now a $5.2 trillion ten-year deficit -- a fiscal decline of $10.8 trillion in just three years. (Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, 1/28/04; www.govexec.com, 1/29/04)

...the Social Security trust fund was ours...

GOV. GEORGE W. BUSH: We're in a tax debate here in this state and around the country. And let me explain my position as clearly as I can. First, unspent surpluses in Washington, D.C. will be spent, you mark my words, you leave money sitting around the table in Washington, Washington politicians will spend it. Now, I believe there's enough money. If you lockbox the payroll taxes, there is $2 trillion to make sure the Social Security system is safe and secure-- $2 trillion.

I intend to lockbox the payroll taxes and spend them only on what they're supposed to be spent on, and that's Social Security. And by the way... (Applause)

...and YOU PISSED IT ALL AWAY!!!
Quit saying "Washington politicians will spend your money", you dickhead...
YOU SPENT IT!!!

4. Wow, that PBS quote is a gem. If people ever held Bush responsible
for what he says, that could really hurt him . . . .
