The Democratic Party Seems To Have No Strategy To Win |
|
When you think about it what is the Democratic party's plan to take back the Presidency or the Congress? I'm not talking about the day to day stunts and speaches, I mean an honest thought-out strategy which focuses assets where they might be most effective and to do so in such a way that key races are won. Where is any attempt to start getting our likely candidates in the headlines in a good way. Its nice that Dean makes noise, and its nice that Jon Stewart makes noise too, its nice to see movies and its nice to see protests, but none of this is a plan. No plan and no strategy means no victory, you can be damned sure of that.
It is the thought of the DNC that the faithful are just supposed to send in cash and hope someone will print a few bumper stickers 3 years from now, and watch the primarys to see which way we will be heading. Its like watching a modern day chicken-raising operation, every silly chicken with his head cut off and running around in circles.

1. I was thinking that Dean was trying to raise support in MO and KS |
|
among other states, to get more organization going in the red states.

2. Yes they do. Howard Dean. He is proved right again! |
|
He refuses to apologise for anything to these Repukes. And he is right. Joe Biden claims Dean doesn't represent all Democrats. He is right. I only wish Dean did! Dean is also going into States totally given up by "Joe Biden" Dems. He is right again.

If you're happy being a pocketbook Dem, fine, but the way to contribute AND change things is to get involved. And if you don't, you have no grounds to bitch.

4. You Clearly Do Not Understand |
|
What I'm trying to say. Its not involvement at the local level, both my wife and I are that in Spades and our grown son is the same way - active.
What I'm talking about is an overall framework, well articulated, and then disiminated. There is simply no such thing. There is no coordination apparent at any level of the National Party.

5. What strategies have you been discussing at your local DEM meetings? |
|
If you have some good ones that have shown results, perhaps you can pass then along to the State party and so forth.
What is your local organization's strategy?
