On our local news tonight, they reported someone burned a flag

On our local news tonight, they reported someone burned a flag
which was on display in some private guys yard, and they also burned the flag he had at his mailbox! I can't believe it! I haven't heard of any flag burnings in YEARS! I guess some idiots decided to do this just because the congress passed the "can't burn a flag" ammendment! I know this is Georgia, but geesh!!!!

2. Went in a grocery store and they had flag cookies.
I objected, saying Congress has just passed legislation saying we couldn't desecrate the flag and if I bought these cookies it meant I couldn't eat them because I'd be breaking the law. I was told "If that is your only reason for not buying them, I won't turn you in."

(This was in a fairly liberal western WA small town)
