GOOD GRIEF! Stop with the apologizing! |
|
It seems all of the Dems can't help but do exactly what the RW demands that they do -- "apologize".
Now, I read that the Interfaith Council, a liberal religious group, has apologized for remarks it made about Focus on the Family.
I think what Karl Rove was trying to do with his dumb comments the other day was just to rub the "apology" thing in Democrats' faces: He waited until a Dem apologized for something (Durbin), then made comments he knew would cause outrage, also knowing that he would not later apologize.
This walking piece of garbage labled "Rove" has played the Dems like a fiddle, b/c our elected Dems have just been plain too gullible or timid.

I said nearly the same thing in a post - called the Dems gullible for falling for this predictable trick - and had a few posters (who shall remain nameless) have a shit-fit over it. Many were in total agreement, but I think some think this garbage is actually worth responding to. "Demanding" an apology and the resignation from someone * would NEVER get rid of is the height of stupidity to me.
Rove knows EXACTLY what he is doing. I'm sorry the Dem leadership has no friggin clue what THEY are doing. This BS that he "slipped up" is complete nonsense. I think the worst thing we can do is underestimate Rover. He's a fat fuck who is the scum of the Earth, but he sure as hell knows how to deflect criticism well...and the Dems know how to fall for it well. How much longer will we fall for these obvious set-ups?
I wish the Dem leadership got as ruffled about DSM as they did about Dean or some dumb comment by Turdblossum.

Rove knew EXACTLY what he was doing. He got his desired result. Durbin was a fool to apologize. Look what it got him? Now all anyone "knows" is that he equated the soldiers to Nazis and he was sorry he did it. BULLSHIT. He spoke the truth! Rove won't get eviscerated like that.
We keep falling for it. That's why I like Dean. Even though the MSM makes fun of him he needs to keep up what he's doing. Telling the truth. We don't need to make apologies. We need to keep their feet to the fire!

I'm sick of being the party that talks about whatever the GOP SAYS we can talk about. They don't want to talk about DSM? All they have to do is make an inflammatory comment and the Dems are all excited over it. Why? Because it's safer to attack that statement than attack * over DSM?
Just like when Dean said he wouldn't talk about anything from FOX because he said it was a mouthpiece for GOP propaganda. We need to start being TOUGH on the GOP, but also choosing our battles wisely. I think we'll inflict much more damage by harping on DSM than we will on Rove, who is unknown to half the American public.

2. then again, maybe you are the one who doesn't get it. |
|
Yeah, we need to be tough at times when we're not. But, as an ordinary American, I hear Durbin apologizing if his words caused unintended pain, while I listen to Rove's lackeys out declaring that Rove would not apologize because he actually didn't say what he said.
In other words, Rove WOULD apologize, but he was talking about Moveon.org, not "liberals" in general.

4. You gotta give these guys credit... |
|
Dubya, Dick and Rummy could gang-rape a goat on the White House lawn and Rove could spin it clean. He is a DARK LORD!!! Pure evil!
But they know they are falling... Just WATCH what they come up with next.

7. The bottom line is, imo, the US public want to see someone who |
|
emulates the 'heroes' of the Alamo, never, NEVER give in and until the democrats fight "a knife with a gun", to use a movie analogy, they will be perceived as weak to the US public that don't study or obsess about politics.

3. I agree. Pete Willians on Hardball asked if politicians were suddenly |
|
getting thin skinned? He asked both Dorzine the Dem, and Hutchinson the Pub. Corzine was still hot about Cheney's remark, Hutchinson said, well, Karl really was right because he was speaking about Michael Moore and MoveON and that's what they think.
I agree with you brentspeak! I say to both sides, get over it! You aren't in kindergarden anymore, and sometimes you're going to hear things you don't like!

8. And Why is Rove Saying, Oh No I was just talking about MoveOn,Org? |
|
Because he is trying to demonize them (us) because they are an extremely effective grass roots organization that is a real threat to these assholes. They have to degrade Move.on because we are millions strong and represent a real threat to these assholes. Getting us Democrats together is a lot like herding cats but Move.on is doing it effectively and represent a real threat and Rove is smart enough to know it.
