I saw some book thing a while back that Al Franken did and Tucker was on there with some rightwing lady and he was actually not too horrible. From what I saw he was actually pretty nice to Al and the other left-leaning guy who was with him. The lady who was with him (can't remember who but I remember reading someone posted she had breast cancer) was a less extreme Ann Coulter. Tucker isn't terribly bright but he's not terribly rightwing either at least from what I've seen. He's not a great talent though for the rightwing so I also wonder how he keeps getting all these deals. :shrug: That bowtie just kills me. Oy!

I don't feel instantly sick to my stomach when I see/hear Tucker Carlson... also, the others are much more dangerous. For some bizarre reason, it seems more people take the others more seriously. Perhaps it is because their message is much more simplistic....it is easier for people who don't want to think, to digest. Carlson seems to deviate from the typical right-wing "agenda" on some issues. Right-wing ideology is a more simplistic ideology...everything is black or white. It's easy. Maybe that is why so many people buy into that crap. I know I sound arrogant, but I just don't get how so many people can take these right-wing zealots seriously? Are they mentally lazy or just plain stupid? Or, maybe they are just assholes?

It's civil, and Rachel Maddow gets to interject with the opposing viewpoint. Besides, despite what Rove and his Klan believe, it's good to understand your "enemy;" this allows you to combat them more effectively. I would venture to say that this Administration's failure to understand the history and culture of Islam and the Middle East has been a contributing factor to the mess we're in now.
