"Grilled Rumsfeld, anyone?"
Rarely in recent years has Washington seen so dramatic a clash between the legislative and executive branches as was witnessed Thursday, when U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy, D-Masschusetts, went after Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld on the question of whether the Pentagon chief should resign for mismanaging the war in Iraq.

"This war has been consistently and grossly mismanaged. And we are now in a seemingly intractable quagmire. Our troops are dying. And there really is no end in sight," Kennedy said, as the Secretary of Defense sat opposite him during an appearance before the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Arguing that "the American people, I believe, deserve leadership worthy of the sacrifices that our fighting forces have made, and they deserve the real facts," Kennedy told Rumsfeld, "I regret to say that I don't believe that you have provided either."

Rumsfeld was clearly shocked by the aggressiveness of the senator's comments. "Well, that is quite a statement," huffed the Secretary of Defense, who pointedly told Kennedy,"The suggestion by you that people -- me or others -- are painting a rosy picture is false."...

You claim Bush forces you to keep that post. Nothing could be further from the truth. You Rumsfailed are a fascist mistake and have costed Iraq millions in war crimes and atrocities against humanity.

Prepare to resign in shame, take your ass to the curb.

4. That flitxing bastard hasn't a clue.
He fits right it with the rest of the klan. It's haarrd work! Stinking retards have wanted a war to justify their existence for a long time. I can Imagine that peacetime is such a boring time for hard-charging generals and other such drek who don't care who dies as long as they get the action they crave.

7. Like the Japan surrender with top hats and tails, bush et all mass resign
Edited on Sat Jun-25-05 05:05 AM by oscar111
the whole bush admin should resign for mismanaging the war.

A ceremony eirrily similar to the surrender of Japan on that battleship should take place.

Bush et al, in top hats and tails should step up to Kerry at a table, and sign a long resignation document.

Then Kerry should be sworn in.

8. If Amerika was a Democracy Rumsfailed would be in Prison.
Rumsfailed Admitted to Violating Geneva Convention

Rumsfailed admitted in public on TV that when CIA Director Tenet requested that an Iraqi prisoner be sent to a secret Afghan/US Prison that Rumsfailed did so. After four months a DOD Attorney stated that this was an illegal act. Rumsfailed then ordered that this prisoner be sent back to Abu Graihib but the prisoner was purposefully not listed at that location, also an illegal act. Rumsfeld also admitted to signing orders for tougher interogation methods which violated the Geneva Conventions.

Rumfailed has commited at least three violations of the Geneva Convention thereby also violations of The Constitution of the USA. Recently it has been found out that even more detainees were "ghost detainees". The fact that Rumsfailed and Tenet have not been charged speaks volumes. If Congress wishes to garner any respect they should move forward with Rep. Rangle's Impeachment Declaration of Rumsfailed and also proscecute Ex. CIA Tenet.
