It almost looks like my sister, the vacant true believer look and everything. I'll have to look at her real close at the family reunion next week to see if her skeleton flashes periodically. :P

8. As long as the TelePrompter...
keeps rolling, he'll be OK. As long as he can keep reading the preplanned speach he has a slight chance of not making a total ass out of himself. When he has to "wing it" is when he gets into all sorts of trouble.

I'm sure there are redundant TelePrompter systems in place to keep the unthinkable from happening.

40. Redundant TelePrompTer systems!
Hah. Compare and contrast the prospect of Chimpy facing a balky TelePrompTer with what happened when Bill Clinton faced one with the wrong speech loaded.

According to Sidney Blumenthal's book "The Clinton Wars," the wrong (last year's) state of the union speech was loaded into the TelePrompTer for one of Clinton's state of the union speeches. Clinton spotted the screw-up immediately, and began giving his current year's speech from memory. He could do this, of course, because he'd done so much working and writing on the speech, and had rehearsed it in the White House several times. It took about 10 minutes to unload the wrong speech, load up the right speech, and then catch up to where Clinton was. When the right text started scrolling, Clinton picked up seamlessly and went all the way through.

Now, what would happen if something similar happened to Chimpy?

5. How can anybody give a speech when he knows half the people
in the country will be looking for the thing in his ear and the hump on his back? I wonder if he has learned to prounounce Abuh Ghraib yet.

Can we get some other country to do us a favor and jam the signal?

11. I always look forward to hearing him speak
It's rather amusing. He makes up new words, uses words inappropriately, and lets us know what a hard worker he is over and over and over again. I alternate between feelings of revulsion and hysterical laughter when he's speaking. Monosyllabic moron.

One more futile exercise in damage control. I'm kinda looking forward to it, actually. Every time this moron opens his mouth, we end up with a few more refugees from the Republican party. Maybe this time it will be a LOT more!

22. I won't even watch!
I can't handle the lies, propaganda, slurred speech, head bobbing, misplaced giggles and smiles.

I can not watch the Village Idiot justify war that can not possibly be justified. I can't watch the shameless abuse of the tragedy of 9/11 be paraded in front of my face, again and again.

I can not watch while arrogance and incompetence, violence and stupidity guide this country, and all reason is left behind.

I can't watch this man in a news conference, the moment he comes on I shut the TV off. I have too much anger and disbelief over the state of the country to even allow this man to attempt to lie to me again!

23. The idiot will spend all weekend
rehearsing his Cheney and Rummy co-written "speech." They will have been careful not to incude words of more than two syllables, and there will be plenty of repetition of key words and phrases like "Failure is not an option" and "We must all support our brave troops."

The idiot will stand there with an earpiece listening to a voice feed him the lines phrase by phrase in case the teleprompter dies.

And you know what? In spite of hours of preparation, vetting to be sure he can pronounce every word, being wired to the hilt....he'll still sound and look like a moron.
