Who is a real war "hero"?
Let me attempt to untwist who a war hero really is.
Here are some examples:

Jesus standing firm against the Imperialist warmongers.
Those who fought against the Spanish Inquisition.
Those who fought slavery.
Natives of the Americas who fought the savage and brutal "Discoverers" like Cortez and Cloumbus.
Indiginous people who have died protecting their land and culture.
Sitting Bull.
Geronimo.
The students at Kent State:

These are just a few.

I in no way consider any person, throughout history to present, who obeyed, or continues to obey, the conqueror/military-industrial-complex mindset and has killed or now killing for imperialistic-corporate gain a "war hero". Not Vietnam nor Iraq, no, none of them.

1. One exception
The medics, doctors and nurses who died trying to preserve life in a place where that was the oposite of the objective. It doesn't matter which side they were on, they were trying to do the right thing in a very bad place.

3. Remember that marine in Farenheit 9-11 who refused to go
and "kill other poor people"? That man's a war hero in my book.

There've been alot of people like that- but you rarely get to hear about them.

5. My understanding...
is that Christ was a liberal hippie type who preached peace and love.

If you think different then fine.

7. Read his transactions...
with the Romans and the religious people.
There is a certain powerful grace that rings through.
He stood firm as a true pacifist. A TA master.
