11. Did this woman have a 2 year old lawyer?
The judge created a massive issue out of a simple case. Insane? Or trying for something?

Interesting that her name is Freeman.

2. Considering the links the prosecution is saying...
I've heard stories that these people profit with young child prostitutes and considering how widespread this is I can understand it. She may have a lot of information.

There isn't enough information in the article.

8. That was exactly my first thought.
I am thinking that the woman at the brothels were forced into prostitution. They were promised to be brought to America and then to pay off their debt have to work at the brothels. Its not as if its never been done.

9. But wouldn't a $800 million or $900 million bond been enough? Just
wondering.

3. It makes me wonder if there is more to the story. That possibly the
brothels may have women in them who were forces into prostitution.

6. Ohio is becoming as big a pain in the ass as Texas and Florida.
<snip>
because Freeman and three others accused of being involved in the brothels are from Asia and have extensive connections throughout the United States.
-MORE-

I also wonder who her 'extensive connections' are.

15. It's high, but a sign of how judges' are limited.
If a judge could have a person accused of a crime held without bail pending their speedy trial, then this would be a non-issue. It sound like she is a real risk to flee, and that should not be allowed either.

Of course, the real solution is to legalize prostitution. As George Carlin pointed out: "Selling is legal. Fucking is legal. Why isn't selling fucking legal?"
