O'Reilly May Not be #1 in Cable News Anymore !!!

For the last 3 nights Greta has beat O'Reilly in the ratings, it's the first time in years anyone has beat him for one night, let alone 3 in a row. I can understand friday night because John Gibson was the fill in repuke host, but O'Reilly was there wednesday and thursday.

Here are the ratings for Greta & O'Reilly:

Wednesday - Greta - 2,574,000 -- O'Reilly - 2,555,000
Thursday - Greta - 2,803,000 -- O'Reilly - 2,680,000
Friday - Greta - 2,800,000 -- O'Reilly - 2,735,000

Hopefully Greta will continue to kick his ass and it will force him to stop saying he is #1 in cable news. That would make my year, to see that smug arrogant prick have to staop telling everyone how he is #1 in all of cable news.

I will update the ratings info as I get it on my web site at oreilly-sucks.com.

Stewert

9. Maybe.........

That may or may not be true Candy, her ratings have been increasing for quite a while now. And O'Reilly has been losing ratings for 7 months straight. His show has dropped from a 3.1 rating in October of 2004, to a 1.7 in May of 2005.

I think Greata has a shot at beating O'Reilly for a whole month or more, especially if the ratings continue to drop for the factor. We will have to see what happens when the Aruba story is over and what the ratings are for the month of June.

I will update the ratings when I get them, and I will have the monthly June ratings around the 1st or 2nd of July.

11. I don't know
I thought I read somewhere that O'Reilly used to have over 3 million viewers and has lost nearly a million!

Also, how do we know these numbers are accurate? Fox 'News' lies about everything, wouldn't they lie about their numbers also?

Rupert Murdoch recently acknowledged that his media empire is losing viewers and he's blaming the 'blogosphere' for that. He said he's going to hire bloggers, because he's losing advertising dollars.

Maybe this is a sign that, finally, the rightwing, repetitive, 'liberals are the enemy' nonsense is finally boring people to death.

Shakespeare said if music be the food of love, play on, give me excess of it that surfeiting the appetite may sicken and so die.

Maybe the Amercican public has finally had enough, an excess of 24/7 hate and lies from the rightwing noise machine, and now they are becoming sick of it and are finally tuning out.

I think it's entering it's final death throes, especially since it's obvious to any, thinking person, that they have lied and nothing they predicted, glorious conquest in Iraq, eg, has come true. It's wearying now, to listen to them repeat the same old 'it's the liberals fault'. Rove's attack on half the population of the US this week, being a perfect example.

15. Catrina..........

O'Reilly has lot over a million viewers, he went from a 3.1 to a 1.7 rating in the last 7 months. And that is his monthly average rating. Those numbers come right from Neilson, not from FOX. I would not believe anything from FOX, TV newser gets the ratings right from Neilson. I get them from him, he publishes them daily, weekly, and monthly.

Then at the end of the month he does a monthly rating average and puts it in a pdf file.

Here is the one for May 2005:

I have all this stuff at my web site and on my message boards.

17. Thank you Stewert
I thought I had read that he was losing viewers. I just checked your website, it is excellent, btw! :-)

I'm glad the numbers are from an independent source ~ I wasn't sure. Thanks to people like you, his constant distortions and outright lies have not gone unchallenged. I imagine as more people realized he could not be trusted, that probably also contributed to a decline in his ratings.

Greta, otoh, is not political, for the most part. I was very disappointed when she joined Fox. But maybe it's significant that Fox is losing viewers on their political shows and gaining them on non-partisan shows, like hers. If this is the case, I guess it means people are losing faith in them as far as political news goes?

Otoh, there would have to be an increase in the number of viewers for more credible news outlets. Has this happened yet?

On second thought, I'm not sure what shows could be called 'more credible' though.

Anyway, great site ~ thank you for your dedication to the truth! It looks like the truth may prevail after all! :-)

12. Maybe O'Reilly should do his shows live in Aruba too.
It must of been all that "investigative journalism" she was doing down in Aruba.

That's hard hitting news, don't you know?

10. O'Reilly..........

Greta is on at 9:00pm here in Peoria, and yes O'Reilly got a better rating on friday night when he was not there. That is strange, he used to lose a million viewers when he was not there. Now he has a higher rating when he is not there, that says a lot.

She's on location covering the "red hot" Natalee Holloway story.

16. They give her the Court TV, and the just let them talk interview stuff.
She's not one of those they use for hammering on the propaganda like O`Reilly.
