First this..
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20050625/wl_mideast_afp/iranvotekhamenei
Iran's supreme leader says US 'humiliated' by election Sat Jun 25, 7:16 AM ET
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20050625/ts_afp/iranvoterafsanjani
then a few minutes later it turned to this
Iran's Rafsanjani reacts furiously over election defeat 2 hours, 45 minutes ago

interesting how they changed one story on their front page to the "tamer" one

1. I saw the first one--thought it was great. But it does mean surppression
of women now--and suppression to careers etc.
IT is ironic--as it denounces bushco's march to democracy--yet I do not feel good about it.

2. Iranian Elections
Obviously something is disturbing the Neo's surrounding the outcome, or their loyal corporate media would be wetting themselves about the newest democracy to come on board with the winning team. Iran, baby!

We shall have to watch carefully how the election results unfold.

6. Well I expect the spin
will play up the 'hardline' nature of the winner. Part of his program is to retain control over natural resources and stop privatisation and the opening of the economy. He won the support of the poor by promising to spend the nation's wealth on social programmes.

This is what will upset the oil corps and their governments, though they will probably dress this up as a backward step for women, or youth, or some other group of people they couldn't care less about.
