Will the networks take a stand on Tuesday??
This Adminstration has used and abused the American media for 4 and 1/2 years. Now he wants them to cover a speech about nothing, simply because his poll numbers suck. There is nothing new he could say or do that would make it newsworthy. It is propaganda, pure and simple -- basically a "Mission Accomplished Part II"

I know it's summer and it's repeat season, but they should really tell him to go Cheney himself. That said, I'm not holding mu breath.

1. I have heard many are boycotting this speech
I've read it on two blogs. I boycott anything anytime he's on except during the debates. It makes me very upset to watch him lie with that smirk on his face. You know the idol worshipers will be drooling though.

3. I'm torn. Anything he says will obviously be digging the hole deeper

for himself. What choice does he have other than to ADD to the lies ? "Happy talk" and neocon blitherings will only make things worse. I'll be watching with anticipation ! Will the networks 'analysis' tell the truth ? We shall see.

On PBS's Washington Week the other night Martha Raddatz zinged Doyle McManus when he mentioned something about the administration and more worldwide military action potential...she said something like 'good luck finding the troops !'.

She had just come back from Iraq and was hopeful about the troops there, but knows they're stretched to the breaking point.
