If You Have Republican Friends? Explain Recess Appointment To Them

I think it makes sense to set the stage now for what is surely coming in just a matter of days. George W. Bush will circumvent the Senate of the United States and give John Bolton a recess appointment over the 4th of July weekend. It is the will of the people he will circumvent in doing so and everyone in the country should be outraged. Tell you friends what a slap in the face this will be to every American, and indeed the rest of the world, if Bush goes through with it.

Very few people take well to underhanded assaults on our way of Government. It doesn't take much convincing to get people to admit that recess appointments were not made available by the framers with the intent of being used over a long weekend. Just tell them the blunt truth ... NOW .... that no Honorable President would stoop so low, and then let them watch him do it, because you know he's going to.
