Check local "liberal" churches (Unitarian Universalists, Quakers, Church of the Brethren).

Heck, based on comments my Republican Rep. has made regarding Iraq (he has "grave concerns" about what Bush told us before invading Iraq), you might even find simpaticos among some genuninely conservative groups.
