Senate Dems Joint the DSM Issue
Senate Dems Joint the DSM Issue

Sen. Kerry has formally weighed in on the DSM controversy, asking the Senate Intelligence Committee to conduct a long overdue investigation into manipulation of intelligence. He was joined by Senators Johnson, Corzine, Reed, Lautenberg, Boxer, Kennedy, Harkin, Bingaman, and Durbin. Their letter asks the Committee to complete its review of the misuse of intelligence by policymakers and specifically mentions the DSM. The letter observes in pertinent part:

1. That's 10 out of 44 democratic senators, what about the other 34
...democrats?

2. I thought
Feingold was on board with this as well. When i talkd to him at the State party convention he was upset about DSM and wanted to get to the bottom of it.

3. Interesting comments from NYT columnist Krugman. Hope he's right.
In a Gallup poll taken in early April - that is, before the release of the Downing Street Memo - 50 percent of those polled agreed with the proposition that the administration "deliberately misled the American public" about Iraq's W.M.D. In a new Rasmussen poll, 49 percent said that Mr. Bush was more responsible for the war than Saddam Hussein, versus 44 percent who blamed Saddam.

Once the media catch up with the public, we'll be able to start talking seriously about how to get out of Iraq.

5. The gap continues to grow between MSM and reality that is sought
by true newshounds and the general public.

What's making them look worse now too, is that in their tongue wagging "debate shows" they all look out of touch due to the DSM's.

Given that there is proof that the administration lied to go to war they are arguing moot points. They look silly and detached--they are living in a pretend world and don't seem to "get it" or don't care. But they are REALLY looking foolish.

6. Agree. After what is now YEARS of giving the Dim Son
a free pass, they look remiss and unprofessional.

No wonder subscriptions are down and the news shows are struggling to keep an audience.
