A post about my personal Ideology
Edited on Sat Jun-25-05 07:49 PM by ck4829
I believe that things can always be broken down into 2 things and only 2 things.

So when it comes to politics, you can either be an Obstructionist or an Enabler.

What are you? Are you an Obstructionist or an Enabler of the Bush Administration?

I am proud to call myself an Obstructionist.

Are you an Obstructionist of the Bush Administration?

1. That is a false dilemma
I for example, would love to see Bolton go through to a vote (hopefully to be voted down) but not untill all the facts are revealed. I do not believe in such black and white thinking.

3. Black, white and grey
I think those should be the colors of DU flag. A thin band of black, a thin band of white at the other edge and a whole bunch of grey in the middle.

5. I second that
As opposed to the unholy FR, whose flag would be all white.

13. i think you're closer to
where i stand, except that between the bands of black and white there needs to be the spectrum of colors-

i believe that is why people bitch about the democratic party not having a single set of 'rules' or rigid standards about things. Because this is the party of INCLUSIOON- and while there are a few key issues all can stand pretty firm and united on- (no murder) we see the world as a group of individuals, not as masses divided by whether they 'fit' or are 'rejected'. And that is one of the biggest assets of our party, but also makes it difficult to articulate simple, pat answers to where 'we' stand.

does this make any sense?

In Buddhism Nothing Inherantly Exists.. things conventionally exist, as a result of cause and effect. things are not actually out there looking back at you ...

7. I shouldn't have painted it in that way
My personal belief is that just about everything can be broken down into 2 decisions, 2 ways of looking at things, etc.

I don't think it is absolutist, because at the same time I do not believe that absolutism truly exists.

This was just a post to stab at the claims of 'All Liberals are Obstructionists'.

10. Maybe it's a remnant of my former Conservative outlook on life
Believe it or not, I was turned to the Light Side by 9/11. I looked at the President and started to realize that he might just be an idiot.
