14. Yes
He's supposivley one. He appeared a lot at the White House when Clinton was president since Clinton is also a Baptist. Was Gore there? Cause he's also a Baptist.

2. Ya know, I think they will hate the Clintons for as much time as I hate
Shrub!

I never understood how a whole group of people could hate someone so much when BC was President. I now understand. I detest Shrub every bit as much or more than they hated BC.

5. Same here.
Back in Clinton's day I couldn't understand the vitriol that oozed from the freepers' and other Connies' every pore but now I do; for every fiber of my being cannot STAND the Puke-deified, lying Chimpanzee-in-chief.

18. Yeah, except Bush has actually done really bad things.
He actually DESERVES all the hate directed his way. Clinton didn't.

Clinton committed the sin of being likable and left of Nixon....to Freepers, that's a deadly combination and obviously anyone exhibiting such characteristics must be stopped at all costs....

To: CHARLITE
"I was just a little boy and I'll never forget it," said Clinton,

Bubba Gump was present for every significant cultural/political event from the time he was born. /sarcasm

Paul Atreides? Please. I don't care if Herbert was a conservative--he was a thoughtful, insightful conservative, and some freeper using Paul Atreides as a handle is just disturbing.

6. They should call him Billy Botox.
Why he did that to his face Ill never know. He doesn't even look like himself. And isn't vanity one of the seven deadly sins?

This guy's a screwball anyhow. The only reason he's become as big as he is is some president decades ago needed a publicity stunt, used Graham, and other Presidents just continued the tradition. Its sort of like calling the winning team of the World Series.

9. Someone should write a book, "The Truth About Billy Graham"
But then he or she would have to run for their lives, no doubt.

Billy Graham isn't the great man that his reputation claims he is. And for heaven's sake, look at his offspring. He's a jaded version of Billy Graham.

12. No I don't think he is either.
I've never heard him ever say one profound thing in his life. He's about as dumb as a stump. I remember reading some answers he gave to questions people sent him, the answers were published in the paper ina sort of advice column. They were the most simple-minded answers I've ever heard. And they were worthless. It was just mindless religious rambling.

He's a good politician though and has a non-threatening personality. He's sort of the Forrest Gump of Christian evangelists. And like I said, he's sort of lucked into becoming as big as he has. He knows his rep as bi-partisan is what separates him from most other bible thumpers, so he wisely plays that up. I doubt very much he believes it though. He's a fundie christian. His kids are more out in the open about it, and I expect they won't continue the charade when he dies.

8. Christianity Today (conserv) a few yrs ago had an article by a minister
who knew Clinton and prayed with him and said Clinton prayed before decisions.......he was intensely attacked for 'trying to whitewash Clinton'

the 3 national politicians most intensely hated and attacked by the religious wrong are the only ones on the national scene (until 1994)who grew up hearing the phrase 'born again'.....all were raised in the southern baptist church....the 3: Carter, Clinton, Gore

They never liked Clinton because unlike most republicans he can speak in rational and coherent sentences.. You have to grunt and wave your hands around violently for them to understand what you are saying.

20. My fave, the "n" word....
"Why in God's name are they(Clinton's) there! Isn't that like Satan going to mass? Hitler going to a Jewish Deli?"

And some other gems for those who don't want to go there...

Billy has gone mad.

It won't fool the evangelical voters. They know who and what Clinton is. They know a revival isn't about social justice. It just shows how clueless the Clintons are to think that what you talk about in church is racism and politics. That's what they talk about in "liberal" churches -the heck with Jesus.

Did that seriously happen?

Clinton on stage with Rev. Graham is nothing short of Blasphemy

He should have quit while he was ahead, because I really believe that a lot of evangelicals are going to be very upset about this.

I think Graham was being a gentleman, but I think he should have left the politics out of it, as he has during the preceding years.

These revivals are supposed to be about Jesus, not about the Clintons staging their next political manuever, hoping to get some red state sympathy.

One thing I can assure you is that it is VERY unlikely that he voted for old Bill. It simply wouldn't fit within his Christian beliefs.

"If Graham had his head screwed on, he'd never have allowed the king and queen of hell to share his podium."

"The evangelist is suffering from fluid on the brain" That explains it.

21. Have we forgotten
that Billy Graham was an "advisor" to Nixon and a frequent guest in the Nixon White House. Graham is even recorded on one of the now imfamous tapes as supporting Nixon's paranoia that the press was a bunch of Jews out to get him. I doubt very much that Graham is a Democrat.

24. The freak show just gets better and better
Clinton and God's evangelical messenger, Billy Graham? Oh, puhleeese. But then again, Clinton has been seen hanging out with Bush Sr., who may have personally introduced Billy to God. I mean with the Bushs' close ties with the Almighty, ya just never know. Hey, maybe Graham will out Billy as a Born Again Christian. Will Billy deny it?

Hell, the freak show just gets better every day.

29. Unlike their leader Bush, Clinton and Gore actually attend Church
Regularly. Those dipshit freepers haven't a clue.

They want to wrap their politics around "morality" (that's a laugh) and patriotism, when in fact they are just ignorant and greedy. Unfortunately they believe that somehow they can someday get rich if the repubs are in power.. cuz in their odd little minds they are convinced that all it will take for them to suddenly trade in the 1980's chevrolet is for a republican to take away welfare... then suddenly they will be driving a humvee and will be rich beyond their wildest imagination. Unfortunately for them, they're out of their fucking minds. :silly:

They even slam Billy Graham:

To: Thinkin' Gal

My Mom died in the throes of dementia, and danged if I didn't often think she was posessed.

I don't know how the Rev. Billy is doing. Well, I hope. But that could provide an explanation.
