Has anyone else seen this bumper sticker? |
|
I just saw a bumper sticker that was very disturbing to me today, I don't know if it has been circulating awhile, but I never seen this and no sooner I saw it on one car, within a few minutes I saw it on another. It read, "Irritate Liberals, Work, Succeed and Be Happy." Has this country ever had so much hatred and been so divided?

1. I think one of my friends put that on his AIM away message. |
|
He also has a bumper sticker on his car that reads "Piss off the IRS, support the flat tax". That's right next to the "Drink Pepsi" bumper sticker, so evidently he doesn't mind being a walking/driving billboard for powerful interests.
Furthermore, he doesn't realize that the flat tax won't help his family, because his dad serves in the Air Force. Last time I checked, AF servicepeople don't make enough money to be on the winning end of Steve Forbes' "brilliant" scheme.

18. No, I don't think he does. |
|
He's had that on there since he's been a high-schooler. To be fair, perhaps that was already on there when his parents bought him that car. However, I'm pretty certain that the flat tax sticker is his, as he has advocated that policy on several occations, often while simultaneously trying to get me to read "Atlas Shrugged". So, if that one is his, and considering his penchant to Mountain Dew, I'm going to lay odds that the Pepsi sticker is his alone.

Feh. Double Feh.
If you get a wild hair up your ass, you could ask him exactly how rugged objectivist individualism gels with An All-Powerful Department of Republican Christian Fundamentalist Sex, Patriotism, and Worship Police camped out 24-7 in his home, but you're probably wasting your time.

about a month ago. It was on an old, not too cared for car. I passed him with my DFA sticker on the back.

No, this country has never been more divided and hate-filled as it is now, but I'm not willing to stop until THEY do.
THEY started it.

7. Yup, saw it on a car with a Bush/Cheney 04 sticker on my way to work. |
|
I think this country had this much division and hatred around the middle of the 19th century.

the driver of the vehicle something fierce. I'm not necessarily proud of my reaction, but someone needs to confront these idiots. Take heart, I'm noticing more and more "Impeach Bush" and "Support the Troops/Impeach Bush" bumper stickers, at least around the Northern Virgina area!

like it's a bad thing. Of course we all know they do it so the average man thinks they're (they being the definitely not intellectual, but oh so elite repukes) just like him, but I think the "average man" is starting to catch on to their bullshit!:toast:

from the ilk of oxyrush..so who cares?
Really? They don't have one grain of truth to work with so they have to have bold bald-faced LIES.

I've got the work part down pat though....I've been working 70-90 hours a week for the past 15 years. If by "succeed" they mean "get rich, usually at the expense of others" I haven't done that. If by succeed they mean "made a positive difference in the lives of people" then I guess I have. As to being happy, that varies from time to time, which comes from being human.
