I predict it will be repetition of what he's been saying ad nauseum from the beginning. They have no ideas, never did, and they are completely out of touch with the people on this as on everything else. I think it will not go over in the least and will probably turn even more people against them because it will be clear he has no answers to their concerns about the war.

5. How many times will Bush say: |
|
"I understand that..." in order to prove he's smart and in touch with American people's concerns, and then get that smirking what-a-good-boy-am-I smile for thinking he's said something smart.
Then he'll continue to defend the inhuman and indefensible policies and tactics he's been defended ad nauseum.

7. It Could Be Much More Ominous |

This may not be funny at all.
He may be setting us up for the first shots at Iran. I am certain that in his mind, and Rove's too, that another war will pull them out of the fire. They are already hyping an Iranian nuclear weapons program that Scott Ritter says is nonexistent.
He could use some of the time to set the stage for a recess appointment of Bolton, and in fact you can bet on it.
He will surely use the time as a call to the faithful. Listen for the code-word phrases of the radical right, the speech will be full of it.
As always be ready for some sort of bombshell - and maybe quite literally. For all we know they have Ossama and this will be his US big screen debut.

8. he will throw out a few "bench marks" with dates |
|
which will keep his true believers in line a little longer - but everyone else will scratch their head... and wonder... who voted for this guy?

10. Oh he will also throw in this |
|
"Some people say that people in that part of the world can't handle democracy..." (implied all of you who don't support the war - must be racists)
But won't catch that he will contradict himself when somewhere in the speech he will also make some ominous mention of the recent results of an election (but he probably won't call it an election) in Iran...

11. Look for two key points to be made... |
|
* After the attacks on our country we had to go to the terrorists so they won't attack us again here.
* We won't leave Iraq until the job is done and the terrorists are defeated.
He will make the connection to Sept. 11 several times and will call the Iraqi rebels trying to oust the occupying Americans "terrorists" over and over and over to continue the lie.
