Number of DU Registered Users Continues to Grow

We're up to 71,978. Last time I noticed the number (3-4 weeks ago, tops) we were just over 70K. That's a healthy 2.8% growth in a month. Could it be that people are beginning to wake up?

This site exsist because of him and the stolen 00 election. People were looking for somewhere to vent and plot, and DU resulted.

6. On Inauguration Day, 2001, I think it was....

Skinner and the Guys were holding a sign promoting their new site, democraticunderground.com - It was on TV. My wife, an avid Internet surfer told me about it. She suggested that I join, since I was looking for an outlet and at the time DU was looking for "writers". So I joined just a few weeks after that. I hope we have all made a difference, in some way.

maybe they probably count users like eBay does. They count each user name not each individual and many sellers and buyers have more then a few user names for various reasons.

Judging from the recent posts by new DUers who are self-confessed former Republicans, it is morning in America again, only this time it isn't just a puke slogan. I don't know how many friends and relatives you have to lose to an unjust war, or how many times you have to recognize that you've been lied to, before you start to wake up, as I've never been a Republican. But their eyes are opening and they're starting to see the light, God bless 'em.
