1. This guy who won was portrayed as a "man of the people" but |
|
few details were given about his plans during the campaign and he is a hard right kind of guy.
Gosh, sounds like someone else I could mention!

2. This Isn't A "Real" Election Ya Know... |
|
Those 27 million Iranians really didn't vote the way WE vote. They only had the approved candidates and live in an axis of evil.
Wanna bet that vote went cleaner and more open than Ohio???

No I would not take that bet with you. You'd win.
But it sounds like bush and this guy have quite a bit in common!

6. Did Ya See The Blue Fingers? |

Iranian voters walking from the polls just like the Iraqis and their purple ones.
Big difference, the Iranians didn't have to wait hours to vote and knew who the candidates were.
Cheers

the other guy was more of a reformer and would not have incited the populace to revolt like this guy will. at least that appears to be the hope. after all, we DO need a legitimate reason for going into iran.
hopefully, congress won't be taken in this time.
let's not forget that people who think nothing of using their bodies for suicide attacks probably wouldn't hesitate to use 'nukular' weapons . . . which THEY have.
so, be afraid . . . be very afraid.

Today is a day for reading novels. I did watch some Blitzer. Cheney actually smiled once on Blitzer. Talk about fear and scare tactics!
Administration mumbo jumbo was probably hashed and rehashed here at DU already. But I thought it was funny that Rummy said that the insurgents they tried to negotiate with were not terrorists. Hmmm... I must have missed one of the memos. I think they all need to take a day off like the army recruiters and have a meeting. You know - get their stories straight, practice a little.
Ay-yi-yi, Bouncy. What I learned this week is that they aren't that smart. Powerful, yes. Smart, no. That's why we're in a huge mess. /rant
