How "free" are the citizens of Kuwait in relation to other Middle Eastern countries? How about in comparison to the U.S. and other modern, developed countries? Do the citizens there have a lot of rights? Is it easy for them to vote?

By the way, why did Saddam Hussein invade Kuwait back in 1990?
