If he sticks to his script and comes off like he will prolong our agony
Edited on Mon Jun-27-05 04:59 AM by KlatooBNikto
in Iraq, i predict his polls will go even below 35%.That will seal his fate.Because his entire Presidency is based on War and his claim as the Great Leader who safely steers the nation against its enemies, his unraveling will begin the minute he opens his mouth. At one time I thought, jus as a contrarian, he might pull a surprise and announce a withdrawal of the troops from Iraq.I realize now that is unlikely.

He is stuck. He has made himself a nice sandy quagmire and he is flailing about sinking ever deeper.

His aura of invincibility built up on lies is gone. His predicament is similar to that of GM which strode the world like a colossus and has been humbled by more agile competitors. He is in the same boat.

i don't expect anything new, but you never know. his words tuesday will not have the same meaning and zing they did before. republicans will applaud brutishly, tim russert will call it inspiring.

4. Besides Diebold, the ? %, need to be identified and cured, and then
theres our culpability for ever allowing Dem's in the house to be hoodwinked, intimidated, or apathetically compliant.

5. Remember all he likes "Commander in Chief".! It makes him "important".
He does love his titles. As in "cheerleader".

6. I guarantee there will be some nearly incoherent
exit strategy without an actual date BS in the speech. "We know when we want to get out of Eye-Rack, but we can't tell you or the insurgents because they'll just wait us out and continue to attack freedom while they're waiting. Democracy is hard work. Yee-haw!!! Freedom on the march!!!"

7. I think you're about half right. He'll announce some kind of freaky plan
to start a plan to withdraw. In other words, he'll lie again. This is his m.o. He knows an issue is about to sink his boat the he lies and pretends that he's willing to reconsider the options and maybe give the 'popular' opinion a thought or two.

Then he just pretends like nothing was ever said. You know, like all that funding he's pledged and conveniently forgot. The man has absolutely no conscience. He's a soulless vacuum. He's just the perfect front man for a bunch of evil weasels who'd sacrifice anyone for a buck and that feeling of power.

9. I didn't say it was going to work. I just said it will be 'different day,
same old shit'. The lie and stall have gotten them this far. Who's gonna stop them?

10. A clue that nothing will be any different is that he will be speechifying
with a military backdrop and surrounded by troops....probably ordered to cheer every other sentence.
If he wanted to reveal a little honesty for once he would simply tell Rove to shut the frick up and give his speech from the Oval Office.

13. not to mention
that the parents of young children, who voted for Bush because they thought he would keep American safe from a terrorist attack, now have to think possibly 12 years longer in Iraq. If these parents, who just recently thought it would never touch their lives, have to look at their 10 year son and question if they can protect him from a draft then Bushie is doomed.
