I missed the Talking Heads this weekend: What's up with Rove's comments?
As compared to the Durbin "outrage" (why or why did you APOLOGIZE Dick?), was there much outrage expressed? Or, was it reported more or less "factually"? That is, did Russert et al just say "Rove said X and Dems take issue with his statements"?

I was not heartened by the Post's coverage of it yesterday, basically treating it like my second option above.

1. It's generally the later I understand
Rove said Liberals, but Democrats interpreted that to mean Democrats. Rove was just talking about the MoveOn.Org nuts, not regular Democrats (although of course he mentioned both Howard Dean and Dick Durbin by name).

Daily Howler had a godo bit on it - http://dailyhowler.com

5. I know huh - I get the move-on newsletter and call my reps when they say
and sign a petition when they say. I'm not as active with them as I should be, but 'nuts'? I don't get that AT ALL.

2. Rove
The spin is that they stand behind the BS. McClellan said there was no reason to apologize-he was just explaining the difference between the two parties.
Delay said what he said was true.
There was nothing at all like the Durbin "outrage"
Corporate media!

3. Dems Need To Shut Down The Senate re Rove's Comments.
We have to draw attention to these BS comments and show how outraged we are. The only way we can do that is by shutting down the Senate until he either apologizes or Bush fires him.

We should pepper floor speeches with statements about how we won't work with a WH that sends its number # guy out to call us traitors.

After a few days in which no business is conducted we can agree to compromise by having a vote on a Senate Resolution condemning Rove's statements and calling on Bush to fire him for failing to apologize.

If we don't it is a matter of time before their meme becomes repeated by the MSM, and then become conventional wisdom.

Writing a letter expressing our disappointment is not enough.
