10 commandments issue is a diversion
It's a calculated political move. At the end of the day, whether the 10 commandments are at your local courthoue is not as relevant as, say, whether your son or daughter gets sent to Iraq, or whether they're moving your job to Bangalore or not.

The strategy is twofold:

1 - Focus progressive energies away from the DSM

2 - Split the progressive coalitions along the lines of religion.

Personally, I'm staying away from this issue

2. It was awfully sneaky to start these lawsuits four or five years ago
Damn ACLU, always trying to suppress SOMETHING.

4. I don't think the ACLU is supressing anything :)
And I agree with them on these issues - but for now we have to focus. When Bush and Cheney are behind bars, then we can take this on - but wrong war wrong time....

3. And don't forget the new torture pictures and video will be released
this week and next. The proverbial crap will hit the fan when that happens.

5. Everything revealed is a diversion
Last week, voting that emminent domain was a constitutional right states had, this week voting that there is a seperation of church and state that needs to be respected.

Sad things had to become so divided that the court had to step in.

Next thing you know, someone will "leak" information about a positive mad cow test that was kept secret for several months. . .oh wait, done!
