Afghanistan On The Brink - British Defense Officals Leak
BRITAIN is coming under sustained pressure from American military chiefs to keep thousands of troops in Iraq - while going ahead with plans to boost the front line against a return to "civil war" in Afghanistan.

Tony Blair was warned that war-torn Iraq remains on the brink of disaster - more than two years after the removal of Saddam Hussein - during his summit with President Bush in Washington earlier this month.

3. Shit Happens when we got chicken Hawks in charge
Hitler tinkered with his Generals and troops, led to the defeat of his quest to dominate...

Many other examples in History where the Leader was a chicken hawk or that of puppet...made stupid decisions and lost whole armies and kingdoms/nations.....

Are we doing the same, repeating History? Could very well be as Bush don read......

2. Sounds like Tony Blair's between Iraq and a hard place.
I doubt if he begged on his hands and knees to Parliament would he get more troops committed.

11. I've been hangin' in the Peak Oil Forum.
That's been my primary interest lately as Fitzgerald kind of slipped off the radar. I hope he's coming back with a vengeance!

5. what was it Cheney said last week?
"We'll succeed in Iraq, just like we did in Afghanistan"

appears he may just be right, and telling the truth for once - though I doubt he knows it.

We will undoubtably achieve the same level of "success" in Iraq that we have in Afghanistan - ie: none.

How long til we start spreading "freedom" in another country? - time to get the old shock'n'awe fireworks out to distract the masses from the clusterwick of Iraq....

of course this time Bush will get his ultimate wetdream - the nukes will have to be used because we haven't the boots to put on the ground...

:puke:

6. They got what they wanted in Afghanistan
and therefore - in Cheney's eyes - Afghanistan is a success.....they have a puppet leader - the opium crops are booming and that little pipeline deal went through.....

Never think for a moment that these guys give a lick about the people they are bombing. They don't.

And not winning either. Ooops, guess it's time to go after Iran.
