Have any DUers had a near death experience? The kind where
you were revived after clinical death? I find the arguments about this subject interesting and just wondered if any had experienced anything in the "beyond". In conjunction, you might want to take a look at this article about reanimating long dead dogs with a new "treatment" that might soon be used on human trauma patients. Anyway, hit the link and then discuss. I hope this isn't a dupe......

Oh, I wonder if this could be used for "cold storage" in long space flights, etc....?????

5. It certainly struck me the same way. This might be a good way to
scientifically test NDEs. If you are "out" for hours, days, weeks....what would you report when you "came back". Reminds me of a Poe story about the guy who was hypnotized, I think it was Poe, and then the guy dies but the hypnotist won't "let him go" so he has these conversations with the decaying corpse. Oh, well. yechh.

7. I've never experienced one but I've read many books about them and
the subject's always fascinated me. Raymond Moody seems to be quite an expert on it. Plus, many books have been written about them by people from all walks of life.

8. Thanks for the info. I haven't looked into the subject as deeply
as I would like but I also think it is fascinating. I have read enough to believe that this crosses all cultures and religions. Is that correct? I guess the RW Fundies would imagine all but a few in "pagan" lands would report burning in hell. From what I have seen, that is very rarely the case. Almost without exception the experience is pleasant and comforting. Is that what you have found in your reading? I would love to see studies among Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists, etc. It would put to rest some of the Religious pomposity if folks from all religions obviously had wonderful NDEs.
