'bragg backdrop could help bush sell war'

there is all is in a nutshell. bush sees these men as little plastic green soldiers that come 40 in a pack.

USING the soldiers as a prop, while the money changers laugh.

4. It makes me ill just thinking about how propagandistic
this whole set up is. Do you think he'll wear that little, "Commander in Chief" number he sported at his propaganda rally at Camp Pendleton.

9. * is trying to create
the image in people's minds that supporting the troops means supporting him.

And he will use the opportunity to lie his ass off -- and try to convey the message that to support the troops you have to swallow his lies and go along with the folly of his "plans" (which amount to little more than leaving our troops in a shooting gallery with no reasonable hope for significant improvement in the situation).

But it doesn't really work that way, this is just psywar in four dimensions -- marketing to the "whole person" (that is, appealing to things other than reason, like emotions) -- and a tragic farce masquerading as an upbeat morality play.

To such things we are reduced.

15. Do you remember when he was in st.louis
giving a speech and the boxes had made in china taped over? excxept for a box or two right behind the idiot*. Then there was the famous mission accomplished banner, and who could forget the face of the same soldier repeated over and over again in the doctored backdrop.
I guess what I'm getting at is these people are as good as making and using backdrops as they are at running a govt.
I don't give this anytime at all to fall apart, these "people" have risen to their level of incompitency, actually, they've been there for a long time, they just drug down half of america to their level.
This whole thing will be belly up in the sunshine within a week.

19. Who will watch this
Why would I watch Bush talk to me? When he manages to say something clear, he's lieing. Why would I suddenly believe anything he tells me? Are there people still stupid enough to believe a word this guy says? I have more important things to do than get lied to.

20. Bush underfunds vets hospitals and attempts to cut combat pay.
Bush launched an unjust war and occupation in Iraq while abandoning the mission in Afghanistan.

Bush tried to cut VA funding by a billion dollars but Congress got it back to 2005 level. Still underfunded by a billion dollars. But if he has a magnet on the back of his SUV I guess it's ok.

It is amazing he can still find a platoon of loyal troops to be his backdrop.

All of my vet friends hate his fucking guts. Even the republicans.
