Conservative Defends Bush On DSM - Says Cherrypicking Taking Place
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 09:09 AM by InfoMinister
Another hilarious article from PABAAH. Nevermind clicking on the link to get there. PABAAH blocks anyone coming from DU.

"On The Downing Street Memo

Regarding the Downing Street "memo", which has liberal anti-American activists frenzied in their eagerness to destroy the Bush presidency, it must be noted that cherry picking is taking place. Note how this document is cited as supportive of their assertion that President Bush "fixed" intelligence YET IGNORES the fact that this same report CITES Saddam's WMD capability!

Of course, it's also interesting to note how these leftists have seized upon the use of the word "fix" in the memo, yet fail to recognize its true context and usage. The Brits realized, if this memo happens to be authentic, that the case for war was recognized as being the only realistic way to remove the threat posed by Saddam Hussein in a post-9/11 world. Thus, the Bush administration would have to make the case for removal using that information that would fit the case, just as a lawyer would in a court of law. What's wrong with that and why do these people seem so bent on defending a regime that would willingly destroy America if given the chance?

It's ironic to watch liberals whine about recent statements made by Karl Rove about their obvious inability to lead our nation during these trying times while those same liberals continue to take the side of evil versus their own country! And they wonder why we question not only their patriotism, but their loyalty as well. Amazingly, Rove's "intervention" to save them from their own insanity and eventual implosion has apparently fallen on deaf ears. I guess the truth hurts, eh?"

Nevermind the other memos that blatently say the same thing or even worse as well as the one saying there was no post war planning for Iraq.

1. Patriotic Americans Boycotting Anti-American Hollywood
Hey - they have three petitions going - one that I can sign -

Charging Moore with treason.

Kicking the UN out of the US.

Not allowing a foreign-born President.

2. So it all depends on what the meaning of "fixed" is?
I already know the meaning of the word "sophistry."

As usual, the theme of the screed is what they're trying to deflect, and that's the cherry-picking of intelligence. Everything that bolstered the case for the corrupt Bush administration's dash to war was enhanced, anything that augured against it was ignored or minimized.

What "threat" did Saddam Hussein pose in a post-9/11 world? He didn't have the capability to strike in nearly half of his own nation, thanks to the no-fly zones. He didn't have the capability of striking out beyond his own borders for any appreciable distance. He didn't have any weapons worth the retribution that would surely have ensued from striking out.

PABAAH's delusional mindset, however, should move them to top of any hiring lists as the lame duck administration winds down.
