Sen Dorgan's a little pissed on c-span 2
He's talking about Halliburton corruption. Our soldiers are fed expired food in Iraq.

3. He should walk around with a sample tray.
So the food at Gitmo is better than what the soldiers get?

they build the prison, they probably do make the food and everything else. How much do you think Cheney is getting in bonuses?

13. That is a great idea!!
Because these soldiers are fighting shrub and co.'s illegal, criminal war, they should be served the best food that can be provided.

When does the Haliburton war profiteering trial begin?? I can't wait for that one.

6. Yep, I'm watching it.............
He is pissed. I don't blame him, I'm quite pissed too. This country has fallen so far so fast. Did you hear about the 50,000 lbs. of nails that were the wrong size, so they just dumped them in the desert. Or how about the $85,000 trucks that get a flat tire, and they just leave the truck for wherever it sets, and buy a new one. This is bullshit.

9. I knew about trucks
I wrote a blog on it..

Did you know they charge the gov. 100 bucks to wash one load of soldier's laundry? they pay the guy who washes it 300 a month?

100 x 150,000

now multiply 400 x 150,000 (assuming they wash once a week).. staggering isn't it.

12. Right and in the winter they do not wash enough long undewear to keep warm
Any one know what long johns smell like after 3 weeks of wear? I cannot even conceive of the stench, forcing troops to discard clothing after it turned green "natural olive drab". Iraq gets cold in the winter so washing it yourself is not a good option. My understanding from returning Bush war vets there was frostbite among the troops. A local bank took up sending long underwear, winter socks, to a Company in Iraq.

14. yeah...I think I read something about that.
Not only that, they were just awarded another contract in Gitmo to build some more jails.

Is Haliburton the only company in the world that can provide all of these services or is something fishy going on?

Favoritism, perhaps? How much do you think dickhead Cheney is getting as a kickback??

15. Thanks for the heads up
Just keep on questioning everything guys.....

THis BS is so appalling!!!

I for one, have worked in a land development company, and let me tell you..... there are always multiple bids and every single cent has to be accounted for.. and I am talking about a $2 million deal.. small potatoes compared to this.

16. Didn't Dorgan have some people testify last year
about this same type of thing? I remember he called a meeting (whatever they are called) that he said the republicans didn't want. He had a former Halliburton employee and a 2-3 others.

17. GOP leadership refuses to hold hearings on waste, fraud and abuse by
Kellogg, Brown and Root/Halliburton. Dorgan is incensed that he's called five meetings to examine fraud but no Rethugs attend.

Hallibuton bilks billions from U.S. taxpayers and no hearings. Hillary makes a little cash with cattle futures and Rethug D'Amato holds endless hearings.

Don't forget Travelgate. "The American people have a right to know", the Republicans insisted.

18. Does that make the GOP accessories after the fact?
Accessory after the fact: a person who, though absent at the commission of a felony, aids or abets the accused after its commission.

19. Wait everyone, just wait. Where is the "lemon fish" being served at the
resort in Cuba? It's okay, all our soldiers are being well taken care of, don't you know?

Agent Orange ain't got nothing on Depleted Unranium. Eat well, consume less and die sooner.

Department of Peace is much needed.

Everyone tune into C-Span. It is a debate and it is raging!

because they know Bush is going to shrill about us tonight!

Obstructionist! Don't put forth any solutions!

I only wish it was playing over and over on CNN or the other corporate media outlets.

23. OMG!
Man the testimonies of the Lloyd Owen people are quite alarming!! I mean Halliburton is charging 7 times the cost LO would charge under same conditions (sometimes worse).... 18 cents was it? to $1.30 for Halliburton???? THey even calculated what a larger infrastructure would be (double their amount) And then there is the testimony regarding the maintenance of equipment and service is just outrageous!!!

Man, that Bunny Greenhouse is a no-nonsense woman!!!

I am currently listenign to it after the hearing ended.... I encourage others to listen as well.
