Poppy, Clinton Play Golf -Rove WH ends up looking like nursery school
It's *really* easy not to trust this kind of association, but this press op is interesting...

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine - Former Presidents Bush and Clinton teed off Tuesday for a round of golf on the second day of a get-together by the former political foes at Bush's summer home along the Maine coast.

Chatting briefly with reporters near the first tee at Cape Arundel Golf Club, Bush and Clinton said their friendly relationship should demonstrate to people at home and abroad that political rivalries need not stand in the way of personal friendship.
...
Clinton, who just returned from a tour of Latin America, recalled a skeptic there asking him, "Is this deal between you and Bush real?"

When the questioner found it hard to believe that the two really liked each other, Clinton said, the man's personal dislike of his political opponents was "completely dysfunctional."

"If people are mad at each other they never hear other, and therefore they can't figure out who's right and who's wrong and where the compromise comes because they have so much personally at stake. I hope this is good for America and the rest of the world," Clinton said.

But then, moments before they headed out to the first tee, Clinton joked, "If he beats me too bad, I'm back to partisanship the next day."

1. Boating and Golfing while the little Emperor is preparing his big speech?
Amazing. This has got to be a "stick it in your eye." This is the second post on this...(the other one was them "boating together") so the media finds it interesting that they are allowing these photo ops so close to the "idiot's" performance of his life scheduled for tonight.

2. Clinton must have spent the night but the jab about being dysfunctional...
For Poppy to participate in this is like a direct admission of junior not being able to curb the rancor...or lead!

"Stick in the eye" indeed

3. This is why Bush chose to make his speech today. Clinton likes the Bushes,
so we all should like and trust them.

What a focking set-up. I am sorely disappointed in Clinton, and I have been a staunch supporter even when he screwed up.

5. Daddy, you like Billy better! Well son, he's a better man than you.
But Daaaddeeee!

Now run along Georgie, you have a big night ahead.

Oh, and I'm sure you don't mind, but we have redecorated your room for Bill's stay here. He didn't care for the cowboy theme. We put your stuff in the old boat house.

I got to run along, Babs is making Bill's favorite dish, and to tell the truth, it is a lot better than the fried peanut butter sandwiches you like.
